NHS QUICK GUIDE TO
ACCEPTABLE KOSHER FOODS
In order to maintain the kashrut of our synagogue kitchen and dining facilities, it is necessary that only those who have completed the rabbi's Kashrut Course work alone or supervise others in preparing and serving food at the synagogue. People planning synagogue events must include a trained synagogue mashgiah in their committees.
This document covers only a small part of the information in the NHS Kashrut Manual. It is intended to help congregants who may wish to bring food into the synagogue for congregational events.
