NHS RELIGIOUS SCHOOL

Judaism is more than what we learn in class.

Judaism is what we live.

School Calendar 2020-2021

The NHS School for Experiential Jewish Learning is held at Northern Hills Synagogue and offers classes in Pre-K through grade 7. We are devoted to learning by doing. Our students "do" Judaism and live Jewish traditions, practices, and values.

The NHS Religious School is open to both members of Northern Hills Synagogue and non-members.

Idit Moss, our new Director of Education.

We are pleased to welcome our new Director of Education, Idit Moss!

Originally from Israel, Idit has taught at Rockwern Academy since its Yavneh days and holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Educational Administration, both from the University of Cincinnati. Some of you have kids whom she has taught, and others may know her from her volunteer work around the Cincinnati Jewish community, where she has helped organize and direct holiday celebrations and community events, including teaching Israeli dance.

Idit says she's excited to be joining our staff team and looks forward to working with our existing school families and attracting new ones to our doors. Please join me in giving her a warm welcome!

We are looking forward to an exciting year with both challenges and new beginnings, and we hope to have more school news to share in the coming weeks and months.

Throughout their time at the NHS Religious School, students will learn about the Torah, holidays, Israel, life-cycle events, history, prayers and Hebrew. We have an engaging curriculum that provides learning via experience.

Through the observance and celebration of Shabbat and holidays during the year, our students will grow into educated and confident Jewish adults.

You can email Idit at educator@nhs-cba.org.
