A Tribute to Renee Roth

7:30 p.m.
Renee Roth has been an integral part of Northern Hills Synagogue-Congregation B'nai Avraham and other Cincinnati Jewish organizations for more than 35 years. As a member of NHS, Renee has served not only as President of the Congregation but also as Sisterhood President, Board Member, Finance Committee Member, and Chair of the Catering Staff. If you want to know what is truly happening at NHS, "Ask Renee!"
This evening, friends, family and colleagues of Renee Roth joined together to honor her with a festive gala celebration. Many friends and relatives from other cities arrived earlier to share in Renee's granddaughter's baby-naming ceremony this morning.
The evening began with a sumptuous buffet of appetizers and drinks at 7:30 p.m. At 8:15 p.m., hostess Jeanne Aronoff introduced comedian John Bunyan, who entertained us with humorous musings and observations about Jewish life and life in general. Then several speakers, Sandy Richards, Hal Lewis, Rabbi Barnard and son Scott Roth spoke with love and humor on the various facets of Renee's life and generosity.
Around 9 p.m., the DJ put on festive music, and everyone enjoyed the artfully arranged array of desserts, dancing and conversation with friends. USY-ers Eddie Bassin and Jonathan Shulman checked coats in the Coat room, raising money for USY programs. Many thanks to the Committee chaired by Karyn Lazear and all the wonderful volunteers and contributors who helped make this night such a memorable event.
