NHS Sisterhood Paid-Up Membership Brunch

NHS Sisterhood held it's Paid-Up Membership Brunch on Sunday morning, October 14th. Newest member Isabella Johnston received a rose to welcome her, and roses were awarded to Sisterhood members who made significant contributions this past year. Sisterhood board members gave reports about the accomplishments and current projects, and after the delicious brunch, Sarah Barnard led Birkat HaMazon, Grace after Meals.

After Birkat, the female quartet "Uptown Sound" entertained the group with an assortment of songs and popular arrangements for four voices. Uptown Sound is a women’s quartet singing in Barbershop style. Featuring Rochelle Strack (lead), Laura Witt (tenor), Maria Zink (baritone) and Rachel Fankhauser (bass). The group is part of the VOA Chorus, which is a member of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women dedicated to advancing the musical art form of barbershop. Uptown Sound is the current fourth place medalist quartet in the Tri-State Region.

After the concert, the Gift Shop raffle prizes were awarded.

Everyone got in line for the buffet brunch.

Fruit juices, coffee and tea were available at the beverage table.

There were a variety of desserts available.
