Hokhma – Wisdom   Zikna – Maturity   Kadima –Forward! LUNCH AND MUSICAL PROGRAM

12 NoonNorthern Hills Synagogue HaZaK presented a lunch and musical program featuring Jeri Fish (voice), Claire Lee (piano), Gayna Bassin (violin) on Wednesday, November 14th. The program consisted of a variety of Jewish and Klezmer pieces, popular songs "Cry Me a River" and "And the Angels Sing", and two Rags and a Polish Dance for violin and piano.
 HaZak,
                            our Solomon Schechter Award-winning program, is dedicated to serving
                            the social, educational, and religious needs of our members aged 55
                            and over. HaZak programs are scheduled once a month on Wednesdays
                            from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
 
 The word HaZaK,
                            which means "strength" in Hebrew, also stands for Hokhma (Wisdom), Ziknah (Maturity)
                            and Kadimah (Looking
                            Forward). Please RSVP to (513) 931-6038 by November 12th.

                        |  The lunch buffet included baked chicken, meat balls, pasta, salad and rolls.

                        |  Everyone enjoyed the delicious lunch.

                        |  Gayna Bassin, violin, and Claire Lee, piano, opened the concert with
 "Neranena" by the late Bonia Shur.
 |  
                        |  Jeri Fish sang "Bei Mir Bist Du Sheyn", "Cry Me a River" ,
 "And the Angels Sing", and" Tsena Tsena Tsena".
 |  
                        |  Gayna Bassin, Jeri Fish and Claire Lee performed several songs together.
 |  
                        |  The audience gave the performers an enthusiastic ovation.
