1st Annual River City Kosher BBQ

Sunday, June 25, 2017
11am - 3pm
At Northern Hills Synagogue

Featuring Music by the
Queen City Klezmorim and
The Corncobs

The River City Kosher Barbeque Festival provided a fun day for everyone!  In addition to yummy food like two kinds of beef brisket and grilled chicken, we enjoyed klezmer music (think Eastern European Jewish jazz) by the Queen City Klezmorim and Israeli dancing led by Idit Moss, followed by traditional old-time string band music by the Corncobs.  A Kids Zone with fun games and a bouncy house entertained the children, and adults had a chance to win wonderful prizes in our silent auction. Many people took advantage of the free tours of the synagogue every hour.

All proceeds from the River City Kosher BBQ Festival will support Northern Hills Synagogue and its key community projects: The OTR Soup Kitchen, Ethan Kadish Foundation, The Freestore Foodbank, The Jewish Family Services Food Pantry, and The Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Many thanks to all the NHS volunteers who made this event a success!
